sadly enough, I'm not. moronmoronmoron.
I am however working my way through the 13 albums, probably later the 4 live albums and 10 EPs of that band, who incidentally are fast becoming my all time favourite. so much unheard, so much win.
so, the clocks go back, the clocks go forward, is there also a point in the year where the clocks are altered to produce triple-speed time? because relieved/excited that I am as a result of now being... well, current, Im pretty much certain its still a matter of months away. the point never kicked in where I started taking things seriously, and now everythings over, and everything else, everything which was never even close to a reality before, is beginning.
I have faith in this summer, though, because summer is when everythings rediscovered. everybody returns from their far away landsss and comes to know everyone who never left all over again. summer love is, as Im told, like no other, and theres plenty of that around. and Im hoping, no ones discontent can continue after the passing stress of exams and distance and... well, anything else. with the excitement/anticipation of whats next for everyone starting something new, the knowledge for everyone else that theyre actually doing alright, should come some very good times, yes? this sounds silly because Im no good at being an optimist. Im somewhat certain my brain is programmed to consider the worst possible consequence of absolutely everything, every other potential (negative) consequence, and then the likelihood/avoidability/resolvability of each. I dont like being unprepared. k so maybe Im just blagging it and trying to incite some summer joy in anyone who might stumble across it because its not present enough currently, in my eyes (hypocrite? nope...), but I do think we can make this the best one yet, yknow, if we put our hearts into it.
this all may be corny as fuck, but trust me when I tell you its a definite step up from the 'nobody understands me' teen angst fest which its replacing. and Im feeling better just from writing it.
bring on the summer, it actually made it to us.
