"Yes, We Can"

Okay so, wow. Im not American, I have no real connection to America or anyone in it, and yet this day has had some kind of weird huge effect on me. Im really quite envious of the people in the U.S.A right now, but Im so damn happy that I get to just exist on this day! Its one that people are going to look back on hundreds of years from now and think 'woah, I wish I could have been there'.  This is probably one of the greatest days in history, and I have two free newspapers with front pages which reflect that.
Im pretty envious because I honestly think that the Americans have the best possible leader for the next however-long, and so many great things will happen because of it. (And weve got Gordon fucking Brown)

Ive never had a political speech reduce me to tears before but that may just be the most inspiring thing Ive ever heard, and it kind of gives the world some kind of hope. 40 years ago an african-american couldnt vote, people faught against all kind of racist prejudice and discrimination. Divides based on skin-colour and religion tore apart countries and communites, people faught wars over it, and now Barrack Obama is the leader of the worlds only superpower? Thats got to say something for humanity, hasnt it?
So if something as extreme as that can be reversed in such the most dramatic and clear way possible, surely tackling things like poverty isnt so out of reach?

Ooh, I feel all warm and tingley [=

This Is A War, This Is A Heart, These Are The Strings Youll Pull

Oh okay, so it actually was simpler before.
I planned to write lots, but I actually have no thoughts I can afford to verbalize through cyberspace to whoever might read this.
So my  heads virtually empty. Kind of.
Im going to go now.
